This forum encompasses areas such as security, defense, trade, investment, energy, climate change, technology, digitalization, transportation, environment, culture, and education.
Expansion of bilateral cooperation through strategic dialogue
Both governments also supported the creation of a German-UAE Investment Council aimed at boosting engagement between public and private sectors. They welcomed the revival of the Joint Economic Committee and the outcomes from a bilateral business forum. The visit resulted in 29 business agreements and memoranda worth over 9.356 billion euros, as stated in the joint declaration. Additionally, a UAE investment initiative totaling 40 billion euros in Germany was announced.
Economic collaboration further includes energy, advanced technology, and digital infrastructure. The joint declaration detailed ongoing and upcoming projects involving LNG, renewable energy, hydrogen, and energy efficiency. It also mentioned plans to develop data centers with approximately one gigawatt of capacity. Artificial intelligence and emerging technological fields are also part of their comprehensive cooperation agenda.
