SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The airline will operate these flights four times weekly, broadening its route network linking the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia already offers flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, which serves Jordan’s capital. The new route provides travelers with a second airport option in Amman and enhances scheduled connections between the two countries.

Air Arabia adds new Sharjah to Amman City Airport route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Jordan air links with a new Sharjah-Amman service.

Flights will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs from Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Tickets for the route are now open for booking via Air Arabia’s website, call center, and travel agencies.

This new service extends the existing Jordan operations of Air Arabia Group. The group currently connects Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, it operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The Sharjah route will add another departure point in the UAE for the group’s Amman City Airport flights, complementing its current Jordan services.

Air Arabia broadens access to two airports in Amman

According to Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, the new route provides travelers with access to a second airport in Jordan’s capital. He emphasized that this will offer greater convenience and more options for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the new Sharjah route on October 8, over a month ahead of its scheduled start in November. It will operate alongside existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.

Earlier this year, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own service to Amman City Airport. That route began on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This operation also serves Queen Alia International Airport, giving travelers two options in Amman from the UAE capital. In April, Air Arabia stated that these two Abu Dhabi routes together offered 10 weekly flights to Amman at the time of the second airport’s launch.

Sharjah’s new route adds four weekly Jordan flights to Air Arabia’s network

The upcoming service from Sharjah uses flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170. It follows a fixed schedule of four flights per week. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its broader network. The airline also provides amenities such as its SkyTime streaming service, SkyCafe onboard menu, and Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can secure bookings for the Amman City Airport flights before the November 15 launch through the airline’s official channels.

This expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s Jordan connectivity through three departure points: Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also serves both airports, and Alexandria maintains a direct link to Amman City Airport. The November launch will introduce four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital, further strengthening the airline’s regional route network.
