SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to begin nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk on Dec. 14, 2026. The new route will connect Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport five times a week. Flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This addition provides another direct link from the UAE to northern Poland and expands Air Arabia’s scheduled network within the country. Bookings for these new flights are already accessible through the airline’s sales channels.

Air Arabia sets December start for Sharjah Gdansk route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Poland links with five weekly Sharjah-Gdansk flights.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return service, G9 0629, takes off from Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reaches Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following day. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departures from Sharjah are scheduled for 8:15 a.m. Return flights leave Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arrive in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All times mentioned are local.

Once operational in December, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah. The airline already offers services to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its Sharjah hub. Additionally, Air Arabia will launch four weekly flights to Katowice on Dec. 17, 2026. Those flights are scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The new services to Gdansk and Katowice will expand Air Arabia’s direct connections in Poland beyond its current two-city network.

Gdansk Expands Poland Network with New Route

The Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European route network from Sharjah. Its destinations include Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced plans to add Frankfurt and Katowice to this network. Gdansk offers a new destination on Poland’s Baltic coast, providing travelers in the Pomeranian region with a direct scheduled link to the UAE via Sharjah.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali expressed that the airline is expanding its Polish network by including Gdansk. Gdansk Airport President Tomasz Kloskowski highlighted the significance of the direct Sharjah connection for the Pomeranian region. The airport sees Sharjah as a transfer hub for flights to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport serves the wider Tri-City area, which comprises Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other communities in northern Poland.

Sharjah-Gdansk Route Offers Five Weekly Flights

Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline has opened bookings for the Gdansk route through its website, call center, and travel agencies. The schedule assigns G9 0628 and G9 0629 to the Monday and Saturday flights. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will operate as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. These five weekly flights will provide nonstop service both ways between the two airports.

The launch on Dec. 14 will come just three days before Air Arabia’s scheduled Katowice service begins. With existing services to Krakow and Warsaw, these additions will bring its Polish network to four cities. Travelers from Gdansk will have five weekly nonstop options in each direction according to the published timetable. As of Aug. 26, 2026, Air Arabia continues to confirm the Dec. 14 launch date and the planned five flights per week on the Sharjah-Gdansk route.
